While its Moot Court Board was busy hosting the National Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition, the mock trial team at Pepperdine University School of Law was TCB across town at the Ninth Annual National Civil Trial Competition, hosted by Loyola Law School Los Angeles. University of Maryland School of Law finished second. Suffolk University Law School and Washington University in St. Louis School of Law enjoyed semifinalist recognition. The Ethical Advocacy and Professionalism award went to Samford University Cumberland School of Law. Sixteen teams entered.
The best advocate for both the preliminary rounds and final round was Maryland's Anwar Graves.
