Chicago-Kent tops all at Tournament of Champions

Chicago-Kent College of Law (Illinois Institute of Technology) climbed to the top of a 16-school mountain this weekend, reigning supreme at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy's mock trial "Tournament of Champions." The competition is an invitational tournament that honors the nation's 16 best mock trial programs according to three-year performance records at the Texas Young Lawyers Association's National Trial Competition and the American Association for Justice's National Student Trial Advocacy Competition.

The University of Maryland School of Law was Chicago-Kent's victim in the final round. Loyola Law School Los Angeles (my Dad's alma mater!) and Stetson University College of Law advanced to the semifinals.

Joseph Carlasare was declared the Best Advocate in the Final Round. Keaton Carr of host school Duquesne University School of Law was the Best Advocate in the Preliminary Rounds.

Chicago-Kent's website has a story here. Maryland's has one here.
