Berkeley takes San Diego Defense Lawyers mock trial crown

UC Berkeley School of Law bested 19 other law schools from across the country at the San Diego Defense Lawyers Association Mock Trial Competition, which took place October 14-16. California Western School of Law finished second at the 20th annual tournament. Thomas Jefferson School of Law and University of San Diego School of Law left with semifinal finishes to their names.

Cal Western has a write up here, in which it mistakenly refers to the tournament as "statewide" (indeed, the competition also had teams from Texas, Washington, D.C., New York, and Pennsylvania). Thomas Jefferson has an amusing story here, which, apparently like its teams, is full of flavor, flair, and personality.
