Barry very, very good at National Trial Advocacy Competition

Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law took home a national championship trophy at the 11th Annual National Trial Advocacy Competition, held October 21-24 at Michigan State University College of Law. The University of Denver Sturm College of Law was the runner-up, with the University of St. Thomas School of Law and the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law coming in as semifinalists. Samford University's Cumberland School of Law was impressive enough to garner the Professional Ethics Award.

As for the individual honors:

Best Overall Advocate: Andrew Cooper, Emory University School of Law

Best Opening Statement: Robert D. Hogan, Florida

Best Direct Examination: Frank Carroll, University of Houston Law Center

Best Cross Examination: Courtney Deblis, St. Thomas

Best Closing Argument: Benjamin Pred, Fordham University School of Law

Full results are here. Barry does some well-deserved bragging here. St. Thomas does the same here.
